POEM FOR LEIGH BELYN

Things didn't go the way we expected, Thought I'd be around a little bit longer, If i could've only been a little bit stronger. I was young and wild, full of smiles, Always brightened the room in my own way, But the wind of change came and swept me away.

Just know it's okay, it's alright, When you think of me tonight, Know I'm right here, looking down on you. I miss you too, just know it's true, I'm here in heaven now.

Stop all those sad tears running down your face, This is not the time or place. Wait until you come to see me, I promise I'll wait patiently for you. Soon we will dance and sing together, Our happy tears will go on forever.

Just know it's okay, it's alright, When you think of me tonight, Know I'm right here, looking down on you. I miss you too, just know it's true, I'm here in heaven now.

Don't be sad, just think of me and you, Be happy because the times we knew, Just remember that I will see you soon

Just know it's okay, it's alright, When you think of me tonight, Know I'm right here, looking down on you. I miss you too, just know it's true, I'm here in heaven now.

Leigh's Poem
Written by: Bella Balzano

Poetry expresses emotions from the heart. This poem was written in honor of a person dear to the hearts of many, whose life was unexpectedly cut short. After witnessing the despair caused by her death, I wrote this poem to help others know that she is always with us, looking down on us, from heaven. My release of emotion into words is not only for those who knew her, but to comfort all those who have lost someone near to them. I hope this poem will let others understand that they are not alone when they lose someone. To all the poets, keep writing and expressing to the world your heart's emotions.
