GVC 235: Interface Design I

This course serves as an introduction to basic HTML and CSS. Students usually enter this class with zero web design or coding backgrounds. They begin by learning how to properly organize folders and site structures and end knowing how to animate HTML elements within a responsive webpage using media queries. Since this course is offered within a design program, principles are presented through a design-oriented lens.

The examples below are final projects where students design and develop a web page that houses links to each of the projects they submitted throughout the semester. It is always intriguing to see their progress from the first HTML project to their final.

The project below shows how far some students travel from project one. For this course, if time permits, students are also charged with designing and developing a portfolio website/webpage.
