INTERACTION DESIGN

Midnight Robbers: The Artists of Notting Hill Carnival

We, Professor Brian Stone and I, were charged with designing and developing an interactive compliment to an exhibit profiling the artists of Notting Hill Carnival. It called for an application that could could be shown on the floor of the art exhibit using solely a touch screen or a mouse. After the first trip to the UK to gather information including photos and video, Professor Stone charged his junior design class to come up with a proper design solution. I assisted the students with the planning and technical portions of the projects as well as the final implementation of the chosen application. The final application allowed for a seamless experience that promotes exploration with no set start or end points. The exhibit, along with the interactive piece, successfully launched in September of 2007 in London's City Hall.
